Highway: Vehicle speeds exceeding 200 km/hr can be acquired. The Bluetooth recognition quota is approximately 38% (of total traffic).
Highway: The sensor used on highways is specifically designed for high speeds. The send and receive radius is set to 250 m and cannot be changed.
Highway/City/Construction sites: Determination of travel times, recognition of disturbances and their patterns, evaluation of compliance, as well as interfaces to other systems are important features that characterize the BLIDS-network.
City: The sensor used in urban areas is designed specifically for inner-city applications with an integrated, user-adjustable 3 stage range.
City: The send and receive radius can be adjusted from 50 m to 150 m which enables it to perform efficiently even at intersections and at short distances.

BLIDS network – Overview of solutionsBlids-sensors, mounted next to the driving lane, acquire unique Bluetooth-IDs from devices such as mobile phones, and navigation systems that come within the reception range of the sensor. These unique Bluetooth IDs are made anonymous directly on the sensor and are given a timestamp before they are transmitted to the BLIDS-Server System. From the information gathered from at least two sensors, real-time information on travel times and traffic disturbances, as well as traffic flows can be calculated.
