BLIDS network is
a cost-efficient and easy to install system based on Bluetooth
technology which enables the acquisition of traffic data without
fixed infrastructure sensors.

BLIDS
network sensors consist of an embedded Linux-based, custom designed
firmware which runs services that make use of Bluetooth sensors,
GPS, GSM, RS232, WLAN and USB interfaces, all assembled in an
aluminum housing.
An external
power-supply (in/out), optional battery buffer or solar power expand
the sensor system. Different models for a variety of applications on
Highways, in the city or at construction sites complete the product

Experience has shown that traffic data
acquisition with the BLIDS system is a reasonably priced
alternative to the standard acquisition processes such as
counting lists, manual counting, license plate recognition
etc. Application of the BLIDS system does not require any additional infrastructure for data acquisition. BLIDS is being successfully used in numerous projects throughout the EU. |
